IPWA takes keen interest in the health, safety and welfare of its workforce by providing free medical services, first aid boxes at strategic locations, safety boots and other protective devices.

The company gives maximum support to its health and safety committee which monitors strict adherence to set standards on safety and cleanliness. We also observe an annual health and safety week.

Employees are fully involved in determining the fortunes of the Company. This is achieved by ensuring effective communication between Management and Staff at all levels through regular discussions with representatives of the Senior Staff association and Junior Staff Union

Consequently, the Company is assured of the loyalty and support of its employees. Incentive schemes designed to meet the circumstances of certain categories of employees are in place.

 IPWA Plc provides training and development programmes for all cadres of Staff in order to improve their knowledge and skills for improved performance on their jobs. This takes the form of in-house training and external courses with reputable consultants.

In order to give opportunity to Staff to further develop themselves along their professional lines, the Company maintains a well equipped Library. In it are books on sciences, Economic/Commerce, Finance, Administration and General Management. We also have more than one thousand current journals and Magazines.

Our policy and objectives is targeted at three cardinal points:

  • Ensuring strict adherence to company factory’s regulations and behavioral standards
  • Monitoring and implementation of product quality control objectives  
  • Apt response in managing and dealing with A&E circumstances to ensure staff safety and company loss minimization
  • Engagement of quality health schemes for staff, for an optimize manpower utilization.

Environmental Impact Assessment

Given the scope of the company’s operation, we have taken into account the detailed impact of the process on the environment:

Environment Consideration

Waste effluent from the factory is removed  by mains sewage provided by both public and private agencies engaged by the company.

Noise 

This, as far as practicable is crafted, is non-harmful emission from the machinery, soundproof generating are employed  and noise reduction systems are embedded in the design of some machinery.

Air Quality

The production process ordinarily does not have any serious effects on the outside environment. Odours from the mixing processes are however present, this effect is mitigated  by use of the nose and mouth masks in the factory.

Liquid Waste

 This is accumulated from washing of machine parts. These liquid waste are disposed off by piping to an underground collecting tank where upon they are emptied and disposed by licensed operators within the state.
